Will that be comfortable shifting for hours? All you need is the matching chain steering wheel to go with it.

Not to hijack your thread, but does any wood shift knob screw into a 240d shifter?

Dash? What dash? Hell we barely have floor pans.

Measure the shifter diam and buy an after market one that fits. Many are "universal".

Got any more pics of your LeMons entry? How close are you to the $500 limit?

http://superturbodiesel.com/std/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=96

Car purchase price was $250. Assuming I hadn't pillaged it for some parts we would still be at that price plus $90 for 4speed trans and $45 for the DS chop. And we have a wheel barrow of parts to sells to offset it.

2nd gen W126 brakes, basket weave 15" rims, BFGoodrich tires all fell under "safety" enhancements.

Wow, I just checked out the LeMons Website. You guys are going to win hands-down with a w123.

If I had the cash I'd be all over that race!

A brilliant way to breathe new life and purpose into an old car! Fortunately you won't be trying to salvage any of what has to be a pretty moldy interior...
