Another Additive ?

Since 1989 when I talked my wife into an 84 300SD, she, at my prodding
has been using Redline. At first with every tank, then off and on, all that time. Of course when I first got my TD, I dumped a bottle in. Sooo long ago,
but I think way back when I decided to use it , it was because something in the change in diesel fuel caused o-rings to fail. The article said to use an additive and listed several. I picked redline because we could get it at a substantial
case discount. Is this a waste of money? I now have to pay retail, not
CPT.

I used to do the same thing. I stopped using it and nothing bad has happened to the fuel system. Maybe my wallet is a tad bit fatter from not spending on additives, but that's about it.
