Front suspension creaks when turning E300 96
Hi guys'
my front suspension creaks intermittently with turning the wheel like in a parking lot. Car is great while driving at all speeds. Any thoughts? Sounds like a spring. The Lower controls were replaced at 110k. Has 128k now. Thanks in advane. Steve |

Take a look at the spring perches and make certain they are OK.
Then look at the sway bar links and bushings, especially if they are original; a shot of silicone spray might help. After that spray each ball joint and the bushings in progression to rule each out.

Thanks. I had the front spring perches replaced last yr. Also the ball joints last yr. I'll look at the sway bar links. They were replaced also but may be dry. It's a deep pitched creak that comes from both sides. Appreciate the advice.

I was going to suggest the ball joints. That's the most common front end creaking I've had to deal with.
