Confused Newbie
I'm selling my VW Bus because I want something a little more practical, and I've always wanted a diesel Mercedes.
However, Mercedes seems to have a much more complex lineup of bodies and engines than VW. Could someone explain the difference between the 123W and 126W? Is there a 300D for both platforms? How do I tell them apart? |

w126's are the 300 SD. Bigger, longer chassis. Think S class v. E class. Both chassis, with a few exceptions, share the same basic diesel engine.

Ah, so if it doesn't have the S badge, it's a 123? German nomenclature is awesome.
