E300 TD changed delviery valve Orings, but...
I just spent the entire weekend changing the orings and copper crush washers on my IP delivery valves. Dont ask me why it took so long...I could almost cry. Well...what happend was I dropped a bolt into the steel intake pipe...took me 3 hours to retrieve it, and another 3 hours to put the pipe back together.
Anyway, my air bubbles in fuel line problem did not go away. It happens when I try to start the car warm...not at any other time. Cold starts are just fine. Its only when I shut the car off and try to start it again when it is still warm. I can see air bubbles in the feed line to the pre-filter. I do not see or smell any fuel leaks. I also do not notice any problems once the car has started. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Air entering the prefilter has to come from a bad seal at the other end of that small line (connects to the fuel thermo/heater) or from the rubber fuel lines leading from there to the fuel tank.
Why did you change the DV's, were they leaking fuel?

Air Bulles in fuel line
The car has trouble starting when warm. I pull up to the coffee shop, shut the car off, buy a latte and come back to restart...it takes a full 4-5 crank cycles before firing up.
Cold starts are just fine....no issues. The car runs fine also and has great power and torque. Does not smoke and is great on fuel: 30 mpg +. I saw the air bubbles in the fuel line so I thought it 'could' be leaky DV seals. Changed those, but to no avail. I also checked the Oring on the prefilter line...it was almost brand new. Hope this info helps. Thanks for your assistance.

The DV's generally leak fuel as they are under pressure. Where you leak occurs is under suction, drawing fuel up from the tank.
Look for a bad seal (is only 1) or connection from the small line plugging into the fuel thermo and back to the tank strainer.
