Giving the middle finger to Mobil!

Even though Amsoil salesmen piss me off to no end, they do have a good product. So since Mobil keeps messing with whats inside the bottle and not telling anyone, they can go pound sand. I have no problem paying $6 a quart for good synthetic, I do have a problem paying that and only getting a cracked dino group three or some sort of BS. After using nothing by Mobil since I bought this car in 2004, I'm switiching to Amsoil as various fluids need changing. Oil first, I'll probably do the trans and rear end next year.

What put me over the edge is my uncle is a dealer, so he gets it wholesale, and had about 10 gallons left over from when he did his machines this spring. So I can mooch a few gallons here and their...

IMHO this stuff with a TBN of 12 is better than the new ESP oils for our old engines.

Redline is polyolester basestock, better than Mobil or Amsoil.

Is there a noticeable difference between these top-shelf oils? I was going to buy Mobil 1 but they didn't have enough, then I considered Royal Purple, but in the end I settled on Rotella Synth (I know its not a true synth)
I'll probably try RP next, in the spring

Had something like that happen to me. After Exxon's mishandling of the Valdez oil spill, I swore off buying anything from Exxon. Would you know the largest purchase in my life, my house, was bought from Exxon. An executive who transfered form DFW to Houston. He couldn't sell it so Exxon bought it. So I now buy Exxon if I need to.

Rotella Full Synthetic.....in my opinion, Rotella is formulated for Diesel use not an automotive product that will work with Diesels as Mobil 1 is....

But Rotella is just a cracked dino, I want a real synthetic. Although Rotella is a good oil, thats what I ran in my 300SD.
