w124 grille removal
How do you remove the grill on these? I saw in a few other posts that there is some screw / nut that is hard to get to, but this was on older models so I don't know if it differs. I only see two screws on mine, and once they're off, the grill is still in place
It's time to paint it black!

There are six screws that hold the grille on. On the top back of the grille, four are hidden by the sheet metal of the hood that the grille is attached to. By using a 1/4" drive socket with an extension the four hidden screws can be loosened up. The screw heads can be felt but not easily seen by feeling along metal area on the under side of the front of the hood next to the hood emblem. The two outermost screws on the sides of the grille are visible and can be seen by looking behind the grill on the outer edges.
