SLS pull rod tip
I was tinkering on the wagon today and noticed that my height adjustment linkage (suspension pull rod) was dangling free. I guess it worked its way loose over time and I didn't notice the degradation in handling. I put it all back together using blue loctite this time. I took it out for a spin and it's like a new car again. WOW ... I'm embarrassed to admit I hadn't noticed such a big difference in handling. I was basically riding on my coil springs since the SLS valve lever was fully in the release position.
Anyway, the tip is USE LOCTITE on the pull rod. http://catalog.peachparts.com/RenderScriptTemplate.epc?_cmd=epccat_VehicleAAA&cookieID=2ER0I2KSF2FJ0PU6Q7&yearid=1985%40%401985&makeid=MB%40%40MB%40%40X&modelid=300%2DTDT%2D001%40%40300TD+Turbo+Wagon&catid=L%40%40Suspension&mode=PA&subcatid=L7005@@Suspension+Pull+Rod&source=www.peachparts.com&clientid=catalog.mercedesshop
