Spacing rear diff to gain ground clearance
I'm going to be replacing my rear differential soon, and I would like to gain some ground clearance(of the body) My hitch often bottoms out in driveways, especially when towing a bike trailer.
Would adding a 1" spacer between the differential mount and the subframe mess anything up? I would be adding rubber block spacers(or should I go with metal?

You'd be a whole lot better off if you sourced some thicker rubber spring pads for the tops of the rear springs.
With the diff mount, what you'll get is completely unknown. |

What's the maximum you can add to the top and where can you find them?

It's a 19mm pad. The p/n is 115 325 24 44. Phil can probably get them for you or the dealer has them.

Lowering the center section would not have any effect on ride height.

That is the "three bump" pad, correct?

You might be better off with the progressie rate springs from the coupe.Too high in the back and your camber goes the wrong way.
