I was fixing my center vents on old smokey and after getting the vent to stay open I discovered that I got hot air when I turned on the AC. Max AC blows cold still, but the normal AC is hot. Took glovebox back out and found a wire connector with a little broken circuit chip. I have no idea where it goes. I took out the climate control panel and still could not find its plug in. I suppose I will have to take the dash out. Any ideas on where this plug in goes that effects the AC? Also, any tips to remove the dash if I have to do so?

Could this be the ambient temp sensor?

Yes, that sounds like the ambient temp sensor. You dont have to remove the dash panel to replace that part.

Thanks, always get good results from this forum. I have the glove box out and the ACC panel out, where is the best place to locate this sensor?
