I seriously doubt the electric motors will use direct current let alone such a low voltage. The cable size and energy loss to heat would be huge. Motors of that power are likely going to be three-phase AC 220v or 480v at least.

Hey, hey, that sounds better!

Probably going to have a big cord reel mounted in the trunk that could carry about 5 miles of cord. Have a fast "Lucas" motor on that reel to wind it up in about 10 minutes, plug it into to first open recepticle you can find and you're "good to go" for another 5 miles. Make sure you stop before you run out of cord! It would take time to repair, beside you might stress out the Lucas motor.
