ULSD Leaks

I deliver bio and dino diesel to large bulk tanks for construction companies. Most of the folks that I speak with say that due to the change in temperature in the summer fuel lines and o-rings tend to fail from the expansion and contraction of summer temps.

If you use pump diesel, you ARE using ULSD.

There is a station near me that the pump says it is illegal to use in 97 or newer cars. I always thought this was not ULSD, am I wrong?

Yes. As of September 2006, on-highway diesel fuel sold at retail locations in the United States is ULSD.

Their pump says its illegal in 07+ vehicles because their storage/lines/pump system has not yet been certified as ULSD compliant. Its a good reason to avoid that station as it means they are too lazy/cheap to get their tanks cleaned and equipment up to date to get certified.
