A good question about manual transmissions..
Alright, say any of us diesel heads get ahold of a nice five speed like a 717.x or even better, a GL275.
Now this is really only for the ones intending to make power with their engines... will the clutches that are available even hold up? In theory, wouldn't a performance clutch be required for anyone making over, say, 160HP? Are they available? Can other clutches assy's be adapted? This consideration just stopped me dead in my tracks in search of a (rather pricey) gearbox. |

FI delivers. Thanks again.

The OM616 turbo sold on Gurkha comes with 235mm clutch and Mercedes TX-18 5 speed good for 160bhp.

So about as rare as the 717?
Common in India at $700 with housing.
New?
Yes.......... but if you wish, I will double check.
Will you mail me one? :D
I have no problems mailing but shipping for one unit wouldn't be reasonable. However a joint purchase would get you huge volume discounts from shipping companies.
