Back from the body shop!

I picked it up yesterday. Right now, it's parked in an office building garage while the rain and wind from the storm passes over. I'll go get it either tonight or tommorow.

It still has a few little imperfections to be taken care of. But even right now, it looks 100 times better than it did in its previous condition.

Here's a pic from earlier this year. Spot painting had been done by the previous owner, so some panels didn't quite match up in shade or tone. I'm SO glad those chrome things above the fenders are gone. I got compliments on them, but I always thought a nice, smooth painted fender looked the best. Luckily no rust was hiding underneath them. Another bullet dodged.
-WHEW-!

Nice! Love that color!

I agree on the wheel arch's, getting rid of them is always a good idea!

That car looks great. Those wheels are nice too. Would like to see a 3/4 view including the front with those euro headlights.

Looks great; agree on fenders - never a fan of the chrome rings. You just can't get away with it up here in the rust belt....

Beautiful car. The color looks like 355 Diamond Blue Metallic. Second guess is 877 Blue Green Metallic. Hmmm. Lighting can be tricky. On second thought I'll go first with 877 Blue Green Metallic.

You're right on the 877 guess.

Ahhh, I've been getting to see snippets along the way, but it is nice to finally see the finished product. 100% better without those evil wheel arch chrome pieces! Just a beautiful color there Joe, and a very nice looking car you have now. Too bad it wasn't ready for the GTG. Guess we'll have to see it at Sunny's wingding later this year.....

IIRC he's using W126 wheels, which work fine with W123 cars.
