Anyone know where I could purchase a wood steering wheel?

I've been looking for ways to spruce up my 1983 300D and make it look better and more distinctive. I recently added a wood steering wheel to one of my other cars and it seemed to brighten the interior so I'd like to get one for my Mercedes. Does anyone know of a vendor that sells wood steering wheels? I tried a brief search on the web and couldn't find very much. Thanks a bunch!

Alex

I know that http://www.************************ sells them. In fact, they a catalog exclusively for the W123.

Strange... it may not be listed on their website, but in their actual printed catalog, they do sell them. They have a wood/leather steering wheel that looks great... but it's $600!!!

$600?!?!?!?! That's a little too rich for my blood. There's a lot of things I'd rather get for my car than that steering wheel with that money. I'd be willing to spend about a third of that amount. Thanks for the info though

I have the Performance Products catalog for the 123 series 1977-1985. It lists a Momo custom steering wheel with Zebrano wood for $377.10 plus $59.00 for a hub kit to mount the steering wheel (I do not know anything about Zebrano wood and how it compares to the MB OEM wood). The steering wheel has a very sleek look. The Performance Products web site does not list a lot of parts. Perhaps you can find one on eBay.
