Fuel filter question OM603

My new spin -on fuel filter came with a baggie the had 2 o-rings in it: one smaller, one larger. Where do they go? My old filter did not have any....

The only bad part is I don't know where the o-rings go in relation to the bracket
(Both on top?, Both on the bottom?,one on top and one on the bottom of the
bracket flange that the filter "Spins" onto [With the bolt coming down from above?]

Some helpful soul will jump in to correct me on the location(s).[Please]

(You're Soooo lucky,without those two o-rings the filter/flange interface
usually leaks like a Fire-Hose!)

EDIT: I just love THIS function!

Thanks K581RC,

As we can see from the depiction the illustration shows exactly where the
o-rings go on the bolt.

On my '86 SDL they go right on the bolt, in grooves to hold them precisely in place, I think one is bigger, goes further to the top. Hope that helps!

Thank you both! As always right on the money! Job itself takes just minutes to complete.

No Orings on the bolt can cause issues....

You are correct. Since I never actually changed the spin-on filter before, and when I did I did not pull the bolt out , I did not know of the 2 orings that need to be replaced when doing the filter change.Second time around, with the help from you all, I knew what to do and this time I made sure I have fastened it tight. Car starts perfect again. Thanks for the pictorial and other tips.
