+1 on painting the inside of the lights to match- I did that on my old 300CD and it made the car.

Is there a preference for 15" Bundts - ATS or Centra? The ones I got were Centra but I do know there are other brands (just like some companies back in the day made 14" Intra/Ronal/Fuchs "replicas" of the Bundts).

If I paint the grille dark gray I should also paint the inside of the Euro light frames dark gray too, to match. Kinda gives it this look but with a dark gray color, instead of black:

And yes I need to clean the Euro light lenses, the insides are dirty. Or get new ones instead.
Looks just like my Euro '85' 240D, not a real common color.

Before

I guess it's just a matter of taste. It's your car, and if you like the euro lights better - that's great.

Thanks Mark. Still debating on Euro bumpers.

Painted the new grille insert today but didn't like the outcome. Grr...we'll see.

Update...

A better look at the grille, painted dark gray:

And another one...

A bit lonely...

I'd like to know you comments on the new grille - I made it dark gray instead of flat black. Hopefully this time it does not chip. Last time I used paint on plastic, this time I just used primer. The old one was a pain to get off, so I used my spare insert (new). It's a bit flat nosed, but otherwise looks fresh nonetheless.

That car looks outstanding! The dark grey is much better IMHO.

I still prefer a black grille, but that dark gray looks very good also. Just a nice car!

I think painting the fog lights yellow would look good, like the French w123 euro lights get. There's a thread where someone paints their lights to look like the French ones and it looks exactly the same. I think they look better than just grey and glass lights and they're my favorite headlights out of all the w123 ones, the France-spec.

now who on earth would go out of their way to look like the french?

I would much prefer a body paint colored head light background.
