which color door lock hose goes where - master door lock switch
Okay, so I got myself in a jam by doing something unbelievably stupid. Now I need help. After this post, I'll likely have to change my handle so as to save face. Here it is:
I was diagnosing a problem (1985 300D-T Federal) with my door locks and noticed that I held no vacuum in my master vacuum in my driver's side door. To change it, I popped off the 2 vacuum tubes from the vacuum door lock check valve (the yellow valve under the hood that goes straight through the firewall) and removed the vacuum tubes from the master vacuum switch. At this point it occured to me that I hadn't marked down which lines went to which part of either switch. Now I can't but the vacuum hoses back together. I've been trying to do this by process of trial and error, but haven't had any luck. Does anyone know which (the solid yellow, the yellow with red line, and the yellow with green line) goes where? Thanks, Chas. Also, I was looking at the DIY organized page and was surprised to see no link for vacuum system problems (such as door locks) |

Pretty sure the solid yellow goes in the middle, the yellow-green on top, and yellow-red on bottom.

Got it!
Thanks for your help. That does it. It doesn't fix the original problem, but all that means is that it wasn't the master door lock switch. I'll keep hunting I guess. Thanks again for your help.
