can't find oil pump chain with master link
 
I am looking for an oil pump chain with a master link. I do not want to remove the front cover if I can avoid it. I hope to peen the master link. ***************'s chain came as a solid chain but was advertised with a master link. They changed the description after I made them aware of it. '82 300D

There is no front cover to remove on that engine.

I stand corrected. I still would rather not remove the pulley, dampener, seals, gears, etc. if I don't have to. I can get a chain around the gears and hope to peen it over as opposed to using the master link clip.

Is there even instructions on crimping the Master Link on the Oil Pump Chain and will the Timing Chain Crimping Tool work to do so?

Or did you plan to use the Master Link with the clips on it?
