Mods for 300sdl Exhaust manifold?

Can the exhaust manifold from a 90/91 3.5L W140 be fitted to a 87 W126 3.0L 603 motor??

or what may be other exhaust options for getting rid of the bulky CA emmisions manifold?

also considering a turbo upgrade have heard Holset HX40 is good choice, any suggestions.

The manifold will work but I don't know if the exhaust will line up correctly.

An HX40 is a terrible choice unless your engine is tuned to make 500hp, its far too large and would make daily driving unpleasant. The stock T3 turbo is plenty for your engine until you need to upgrade the injection pump.

Ya, the lag even on the stock turbo is pretty incredible.

One thousand one, one thousand two *BOOST*...

And people gripe about TDIs having lag HA!
