OVP soldering

I am looking to resolder the joints in my OVP relay...for those of you who have done it, how did you get the board out of the box? I didn't get too aggressive with it because I didn't want to break anything! Should it just slide out though?

Hows that car coming along? I just replaced the rear control arm bushings on mine. Remember, the ones that squeak so much. The rubber inside was gone. Big improvement. No more noise, and the weird clunk from the rear is gone. I bought the bushing tool, and rented a spring compressor from Brian. Didn't really need the compressor. Used a floor jack. The bushing tool works great. Took less than 2 hours to do both sides. I'm going to see about putting it in the rental program, since I don't need it anytime soon.
Don't mean to hijack your thread, but what is an OVP relay?

Remove the fuse from the top. Straighten out the tabs at the bottom and pull the whole assembly out. Resolder all the joints and re-insert the assembly into the can, bend the tabs and pop the fuse in. Its that easy.

You may have to jiggle it a bit and pull a bit harder to convince it to come out of the can, but it will come out.

Cool, I will give it some more oomph this time.

David, the car is coming along pretty well. I haven't fixed the squeak completely, but for the time being I sprayed some silicone lube on the old bushings and it helps keep the noise down.

The OVP is a little box with a red top that is behind the battery. It keeps overvoltage from ruining certain electronics. In my case, my ABS light is on and that is a common symptom of a bad ovp...I'm hoping it is that though!! We'll have to see. That is why I am going to re-solder instead of spend $70..just in case it isn't broken!

Or find a buddy who who will let you borrow his and substitute for a couple of minutes. This will quickly confirm if it is the OVP at fault.
