81 300SD Radiator

I am back with a follow up to the "running a bit hot issue"

After making it throught he summer I am still having temperatures averaging around a 100C, which I don't think it should be that high.

After replacing the thermostate and the pressure cap, I will have to continue to investigate the issue.

I am going to check the radiator next.

Here is the question.

Can this model/year radiator be opened by removing the tanks, clear the passages in the core, then close and seal it again?

Ok. I have seen a radiator shop and my mechanic. Both were closely diagnosing the fan clutch.

I guess a defective fan clutch could make the car running about 20C hotter than it should be running.

I have a fan clutch coming thru my supplier and could use some practical hints on how to swap it out ...

Thanks in advance.
