Ignition switch spring loaded?
I have gone through the bad key lock experince and have gotten the bad lock out and the lock from the parts car. Got it all togeather and every thing works except the spring snap back from the start position.
Is there a spring in the ignition switch that causes it to snap back? If so where is the spring located? Hey to anyone have a problem turning the key switch, don't wait until it happens for good! It is pure hell to go through! Fix it now while you can turn the key! Tom |

I got it back together. It does have a tab that is spring loaded.
What I won't do again is not to put off fixing the key problem at the 1st sign of the key not wanting to turn!!! This a great site. I got a lot of good information that helped me get this fixed!! Thanks, Tom |

Good you are back on the road. I had this problem 10 yrs ago, but cought it in time. but every once in a while Iam starting to have the problem again, sooo I think I better get to the Dealer soon.
There were a couple threads on this same problem in the past couple weeks. this is something that can`t be Micky Moused to work. just replace it new. new parts are pricy, but it is pricier if it breaks. Charlie
