Long shot of a starter question.

1983 300 SD

Anyone know the size of the small screw used to connect the wire from the ignition switch to the starter?

I replaced the starter, now after I get it in place I see that the screw is missing. I seached the garage floor without luck. Like I said, it's a long shot that anyone knows. Hopefully the dealer has it listed on there parts list.

I'd hazard a guess that it was M5...........but it also could be M6.

Well you got close.

Bought M4, M5, and M6 at Home Depot. The M4 worked. Now I'm back on the road.

Thanks!
