87 300SDL fuel tank screen

First,I really appreciate all the help I have gotten for several months now,

BUT there seem to be a lot of folks who WANT to help but may offer some tidbits but are not sure if their advice is accurate. again thanks,

I would like to have a mechanic that knows for sure if this car has a large strainer in the tank or not. It seems to not have the large bolt/strainer like my 85 300CD but rather a plate with two line on it.

any help would be great, and I appologize to any whom I may have offended, thanks

If you would like to have a "mechanic" that "knows for sure" if this car has a strainer........or not.........then I strongly suggest that you bring to vehicle to one.

This forum is a bunch of folks who have various knowledge of specific things they have done to their vehicle. Whether their advice applies to your vehicle is for you to determine.

If you believe that you can receive absolutely correct advice over the internet by folks who have not seen your vehicle.........I suggest that you might be deluded. We've seen many "mechanics" who can't properly diagnose a vehicle and the vehicle is sitting right in front of them.
