A/C r134a high side connector valve?
Hi All,
I am trying to work on my AC system, converted to r134a long before I owned the car. Me and a friend cannot seen to find the high pressure (or high side) connector anywhere. We easily found the low side (blue capped valve), but I swear there is no red capped valve anywhere to be found. Does anybody know where it might be located on a 1984 300D? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thomas |

It should be down by the alternator toward the rear of it, but it may not be capped red because these cars had threads on this fitting that are hard to match! These were originally equipped with Refrigerant 12 which uses different fittings! I had to recharge my 1983 with my guages conected to the low side only.
