Someone plz ID this Cooler/Rad? (Mit. Fuso class 3)

Just forward of the batteries,@ first glance it looks like a mudflap, but look again, it has a fan on it, and fancy tubin' and such.

Is it the auto tranny cooler?

I think I'm buying one of these beasties, (1994) I've been searching but haven't found any good online resources, all the parts houses say 'call us for a quote', and I can't find any discussion groups, or even good diagrams.

However I have read about their shady recall practices.

Auto or manual

If its automatic then it could be a tranny cooler. My guess would be a A/C condenser. I used to drive a UD that had a condenser mounted similar to that

I think it's the A/C condenser also, the lines going to one I saw on a truck near my house looked more like A/C fittings than hydraulic hoses.

That's basically what the aux-fan on our own condensers is for -- when there's enough forward flow, the fan isn't useful, but it keeps it cooling at idling speeds.

A/C condenser. The Isuzu NPR uses the exact same setup but on the right front under the cab.

thanks for the info, I'm going to look at one tomorrow, the owner says...

"
There is a leak in the brake line that leads to the radiator that cools the brake fluid.
"

I've searched and I can't even get one hit for a brake fluid cooler or radiator, anyone have any thoughts on this? I was not able to gauge his level of mechanical knowledge, so I'm not sure he knows what he's talkin' 'bout.

I just bought a 99 Fuso FG. Another Fuso owner with an auto tranny told me that cooler is for the transmission. I have a manual transmission. It doesn't have one of those coolers.and the ac condenser is in front of the radiator.
Mine has a cooler in the right front behind the bumper. I assume it is the oil cooler.

Are you sure that's not the oil cooler? I have one there but I also have what appears to be an AC condensor in front of the radiator.

Since its leaking red fluid, I'm going to say for sure that it is the auto tranny cooler, especially since this truck doesn't have a/c. But it did have the cutest little intercooler...

Anyway, I walked away from the sale, the owner had tried to charge the batteries, but he reversed the polarity when he did so, and now, some of the accessories work, but nothing lights up when the key is inserted in the ignition and nothing happens when you turn the key

I checked the fuses, verified 12v to the solonoid, had no joy, and walked away.

What a waste, that truck will probably end up in the scrapyard.
