My poor tranny

Hello;

Yesterday I placed a post about my tranny being stuck in 1st gear and not shifting downwards while driving. You guys gave me a lot of stuff to try. Here's what I did:

I replaced all vacuumhoses, T connectors, straight connectors, the round green valve and both switch over valves. I also replaced the main vacuumhose coming directly from the Booster.

Still my tranny does the exact same thing. It goes in park, neutral, rear, drive, 3 and 2 with ease. Only when I put it in drive and actually drive the car, the tranny doesn't shift.

I also noted that once in a while shifting from drive to rear the handselector seems to get stuck. I move the selector back to drive and then it goes into rear with no problem.

Is it my tranny that's shot or is there something else I could try?

Thanks in advance for all the help.

By the way, the transmission fluid is at the right level and is nicely red, not clouded or dark or with grits. I checked the level with the car running in neutral.

Sounds like the Bowden cable is hooked somewhere. Un Clip it from the Linkage and pull it making sure the cable travels freely. For testing purposes leave it unclipped from the linkage and go for a drive. The tranny should shift earlier than normal.

Thank you. Will try that. To unlink it all I need is a flat screwdriver and gently pry upwards right?
