Where can I get an IP rebuilt?

I am having NO luck finding an IP for a 602 so I was wondering if anyone knows who rebuilds them, and maybe how much it would cost?

Have you tried the junkyard searches like car-part.com, etc?
There's got a to be a few totaled models of your car out there waiting to have the ip pulled. I've also had luck finding a yard that lists another part for a car, then calling them and asking if they have the specific part I need. Sometimes these places don't list every single part on the car.
Good luck, 1200 to rebuild an IP sure is an investment.

Is that the 2.5 turbo five cylinder? If it is I sold a good, used ip for one of those to someone on this forum a few months ago. I will see if I can find the correspondence in it's regard and will post it if I still have it. He purchased it to keep on the shelf as a "spare" and may be willing to let it go.

edit - I looked through old correspondence and was unable to find our communications during the transaction. If I remember correctly he was in the Northwest US area.

Maybe you could buy the whole engine from a search on car-part.com. Probably cheaper to get the whole thing and then just pull the pump and part the rest out yourself.

Phil can get you one, or any diesel Bosch shop can rebuild it. Figure around a G note.

805 is the going rate to get it rebuilt at adsit.com. none of the other places had one. I had also considered buying the whole engine, but hell i couldnt even find one of those. I was fortunate and found one on ebay that the seller says had been tested. they gave a 90 day warranty on it. got it for $400.

Exclamation Bosch Service

There is a Bosch place not very far from you.....somewhere down there between Charleston and Nitro.....

Do a search here, I've posted the link several times......

I have spoken to them on the phone, and they were very helpfil and recommended KSD Diesel in Clarksburg so that I would not have to drive 100 miles......they also recommended a couple of John Deere places that rebuild FI Pumps.....

well im back to square 1! The IP I bought on ebay, the same one that had the claim that was tested and worked, was in fact, DOA. First sign was the throttle lever (or whatever its called) felt like it was dragging on the inside when you moved it. Had no recoil either. Then the mechanic called today and gave me the bad news. SO, now I am on the hunt again. I am going to check some places to get them rebuilt, and hope the guy I bought this one from doesnt try to jack me around, but if anyone knows of any out there, please let a brotha know.

Anyone in the market for an IP that needs rebuilt?

Arrow Bosch in West "by God".....

Here's the link to the Bosch Service Center location page.....

http://www.boschservice.com/ServiceLocations/DieselServiceCenter/

And here is the place that I mentioned in an earlier reply.....whooppsssss....looks like the place that used to be listed in St. Albams is no longer a Bosch place......and I only phoned them once so I don't have the address......

Try phoning KSD Diesel in Clarksburg.......624-7452

The Bosch Shop in St. Albans sent me to KSD.......and I have used their services a couple of times.....they are not an "official" Bosch Shop any lomger because Bosch did not support them with the "new" computerized FI components.....as far as testing equipment and software goes......

But.....KSD can and will rebuild your FI pump but I don't know what they charge......
