My uncle over there was going to look at it for me, but when I heard that, I emailed him and called it off. Maybe I should have got him to go ahead and check it. Oh well.

Well, it was certainly better than the 85' 300SD I looked at today for $3500! Advertised as a "good car". When I got there, found out it had been setting for a year. He said the car runs fine all day if you let it idle, but once on the road, it starts to overheat.
 $3500 seems like a lot for a car with this issue. Also had a 88' 560SEL that had a bad transmission.... didnt even ask the price on that one. I think it was $2000.
