87 300SDL Instrument Cluster

Will 91 420SEL cluster work in 300SDL place with the exception of the glowplug indicator? I just purchased 300SDL with most items in instrument cluster not working & found a pristine cluster in wrecking yard today in a 91 420SEL. Thanks in advance ~ Ken

The speedo will be wrong, maybe the tach, who knows on the wiring, fix the old one they are simple inside. No electronics.
