Injector ?
I am in the newb leaning stage on injectors . I recently acquired 1990 300D 2.5 W124 body which has a bad injector . It "fires" but knocks. I took it apart and cleaned it but there was no improvment . Now it looks like I need to borrow a friend's tester ( which he uses for OM617s and Ford IDIs ) . I was told that these injectors have a smaller line nut thread size (y/n?) . What do I need and where can I find it in the Atlanta area ( I live in Roswell ) . -Thanks
BTW - I am ultimately planning on a new set of Monark nozzles but for now, I just want to get this injector working ASAP . - Thanks |

Injector line attachment
They should be the same (617 and 602/603) and premature injection can cause nailing. The different threads are the side you don't connect to the pop tester. I have serviced these and the only catch I can think of is if someone changed some parts over the years.
