Video on classic car insurance...

http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/video/video_player.shtml?vid=530863

Sounds like the way to go, just can't drive it everyday, or anywhere.

i've got my '83 insured with them. $125/year!!! Much better than the $400/year I was paying Allstate.

I had my VW Bug and two 240Ds insured with them for over two years until I looked into a couple comments made by a member here about "where they wouldn't pay if you had an accident there... "Super market parking lot" for example, you cant go anywhere (and be covered) if you have a "destination" unless its car related, show, rally, the shop... BUT...you are insured for a "drive", anytime, no mileage limits, but they define "drive" as having NO destination. I had my Allstate agent call Hagerty after he admitted he wasn't sure about the "limitations' and they turned out to be more than just ..."you cant use the car for work or school". Great insurance if you have a "collector" car and go to shows

I finally have decided to have the 1991 AMG 560SEC insured with an agreed value policy.

What with all the euro accessories on it, and as an old AMG car, and the recent restoration I thought it was worth more than whatever NADA values on it would be

I don't even drive it all that much now that I have the new Outback for everday things, so the annual mileage

I hired an auto appraiser to come out and look at it, and it is expensive, but State Farm said they will insure it at the agreed value, whatever it turns out to be.

Better to be safe. It would cost a lot to replicate the car as it is today if it was destroyed.
