Need some input
I would like some input on how to sell this motor and transmission from an 81 300D.
People have watched it but no one has bid on it or bought it. Ideas please!!

List the compression numbers, remove the story about where it came from and anything that is less than positive. Keep it short and sweet.

My biggest issue with considering that auction is the poor grammar and grammatical mistakes. If you can't convey an auction with proper sentence structure and wording how well can you take care of an engine. {Not aimed at you, just a thought process example of a potential buyer}
Also too wordy on where engine came from. Info about the "other" engine that suffered poor maintenance is unnecessary and implants the term "bad engine" into folks minds. In other words, erase it all and start over.....

Your location in the rust belt means not many people are looking for engine donors, but are looking for body donors.
A few hours with a scotch pad and degreaser may help.

Yeah i am gonna do that this weekend sometime. The body on this car is rusted out but coulda been saved if the previous owner had to done the necessary work. The drivers side rocker panel, floor pan and rear wheel wheel were rusted or blown out. The fenders had big rust holes and the metal strips that rubber weather gaurds were rusted out. THe drivetrain was the only strong point of the car. The climate control was not working either.
