1990 300d.... its makin a thumping sound on acceleration. Its from slow speeds on quick accel. It speeds up with the speed of the car. Im thinking its the flex plate. Its hard to pin point where its coming from. Deffinatly the front area. Any input on other possible issues?
Not sure of other recent front end work done. I had the front ball joints done. I think the rear sub frame bushings need to be replaced. Its got the loud thump when it changes gears.

Anyone have similar issues?

If you think it's the flex disk, inspect it immediately. You do not want that coming apart. It will do major damage to the car, and will probably set off the air bags.

Flex discs or driveshaft bearing. Get under there and inspect it! If the disc lets go you will be looking at possible catastrophic damage.
