My Oil Cooler is odd...

I seem to have an odd oil cooler in my 83 240D. Unlike all the others I have seen, mine has both the fitting at the bottom!

Any one know the part numbers of the hoses for this style? My 'new' engine didn't come with a cooler...

I see if I can get a picture up later if any one wants one.

Nathan. (Pondering the cooler deeply....)

Yep, the 240d cooler is smaller. 68 horses just don't put out as much sweat and heat as 128 of them.

Just noticed that as I was out trying to crack the fittings on the normal cooler on my 82. Went to check my 240d which has a smaller, thin fin cooler, and noted both lines underneath. Looked at fastlane, and there are at least three oil cooler lines listed for an 81 240d. Fastlane lists no oil coolers for the 240d. I didn't look at routing, but the oil filter is at the same spot and has the same ports as on a 300d, so I'd guess that the replacement is a 300d spec oil cooler and the right hoses. Can anyone comment on if that is the case?

Good thing I'm only doing the 300cd now, the 240 looks fine...
