82 240d read defroster defogger problem
 

Hello all,

I have used these forum for a wealth of knowledge since I bought my 240 last year. I want to thank everyone that has given information....my restoration of this car would not have been possible without it.

On to my quandry.

My rear defroster has some problems. I have inspected for breaks in the elements, not finding any of course, and even recently replaced the switch, but to no avail.

Only one strip of the defroster works, and it happens to be the one in the center position. Common sense to me would say that apparently it is getting power or the center strip wouldn't be working. There are not visible scrapes nor scratches. So, where to go from there I am not sure......

Any help or advise would be great.
