Any opinions about this car?
I like the 190's but know very little about them. What does it tell you that the motor has been rebuilt with only 151K? Are these non turbos dog slow? How does the price sound? I have heard the tranies on 190's are only good for 200K is this correct?

Price sounds reasonable, not a great bargain, but good nonetheless.
It's not slow compared to the 240D or 300D. In fact, it might seem a bit peppier than your '83, and will definetly handle better. Get a PPI, and figure out exactly why the engine was replaced. If the tranny is shifting *perfectly*, there's no need to worry about it. |

A non-turbo 2.5 190D is about as fast as a 82-85 300D.
It may have 151k miles on the body but it can be any number on the replaced engine. Still, $3900 is on the higher side of the "good" price range. |
