Mercedes Diesel Friends:

On my way back from Akron,OH.,The 1997 300E Diesel Check Engine Electornic's Light where the Check Seat Belt Light area came on. Also the Check Engine Light on the Right Side of the Dash came on. Also the Little Coil Light that indicates it is OK to start Engine is staying on. Does any one out there ever had the same issue with there Mercedes?? What does this indicate is wrong???

Sounds like a problem with glow plugs. You might have one or more that failed or the glowplug relay has failed. Do a search here, some have been able to test without removing them from the engine, when my light came on I just replaced all 6..

Go to dieselgiant.com and follow the tutorial there for testing the W123 GP's. Principals are indentical. Will tell you if it is a GP or relay.
