Not as long as you join the crusade to rid the forum of incorrect designation usage.

so, I used the correct model designation? I hope so, because over at the landcruiser forum they get pretty tweaked when people post pics with their headlight bezels on upside down and I never wanted to get on the wrong side of that barrage. Nor do I want to start a model designation controversy here.
I have an 83 wagon - 300td correct? My ac also does not work. Man, I feel like a kid in a candy store with all this little stuff to fix. The compressor clutch won't engage and it (the compressor) has been replaced just before I bought it. The dash controls really don't have a whole lot going on in the way of description for what they do, so any help would be appreciates. Like what is OP? Arrow up, arrow down, autom.(automatic?) - I assume this hold the interior at steady temp. I need an owners manual if anyone ha an extra! |

BTW, lots of universally used terminologies are not correct! Just trying to seperate the astute MB dieseler from the first secretary at MBUSA who incorrectly used TDT and had it catch on.

A failed A/C unit is normal, but since there has been some work previous, it's anyone's guess. The up and down arrows are explained in the owners manual. I may have one laying around somewhere. You may be able to get one on line also. The autom button is for fan speed, it's a three position affair. the top button is high speed all the time, the autom, (yes, automatic, in that it will decide on the fan speed depending on the temp wheel setting) then the bottom button is low speed all the time. The other buttons dictate where the air is directed, depending on heating or cooling.
