Marty,
I did not connected or reconnected any transparent fuel lines from Injection pump. The only thing I did was I removed the starter + Oil filter housing to have enough room to get the glow plug out. I have been unsuccessful. This is my second try. I worked on it for just over 3 full days.

Pat - Is it possible you got the return and feed lines swapped at the firewall when you reconnected this time.
The return line is the top metal line on mine and that rubber hose appears to be slightly smaller dia than the lower "feed" line.

I guess one way to tell is if the feed line from the fuel thermo to prefilter immediately refills itself when the key is cranked. It always drains back about 1" at shutdown.

Terry,
Again thank you!
I did checked - the to rubber lines connected to the metal tubes on the fire wall are not the same size. Is a thin rubber hose which fits only on the thin tube - I believe it is the return line. I also have a larger rubber hose which I placed on the larger metal tube also on the fire wall.

Hmmmm....then maybe try checking the hose clamps for leaks once more and then get the nose down hill (put couple of 2 x 4's under the rear wheels if necessary) and make certain the tank is +1/2 full; then keep cranking to reprime.

One more thing. Now while I am crancking the engine I noticed some blueish/white smoke coming out from the EGR side of the manifold. Is this proper?

Is yours a turbo or NA? Sounds like one of the EGR/Intercooler connections udner the manifold didnt get seated correctly.

It is a TD. Right now I have the manifold put in place with only 3 bolts at the head and none below. The two rubber hoses are attached to the manifold. I am trying to get it started first - so I don't neet to unbolt it again if I have to change the Cranksaft or Reference Sensor.
