transplant 617 from 123 to 126

My father in law has a 123 with a good 617 and a 126 with a 617 having a broken camshaft.

Can I transplant the engine/trans from the 123 to the 126. I understand that one is a 617.961 and the other is a 617.962 and I want to make sure that it can be swapped easily.

I'm a 201 guy, and know little about the 123/126's. Give me a 201 with a 60x and I'll go to work. Here I'm a little lost.

Any Help???

Swap the mount arms, oil pressure sending unit and transmission and it will work.
