It is right under the oil filter housing, right above the starter. Their is one black wire coming off it.

The easiest access to it (for me) was from under the car, just behind the driver's front wheel. It is screwed into the lower rear section of the oil filter cannister, at the bottom of the cannister. Mine had to be replaced, because as soon as you turned the key it registered 3 bar. Don't know why anyone would let it go to that extent - I can't stand not knowing about oil pressure, even an idiot light is better than a non-functional gauge.

Fortunately it has really good pressure - but I like to read it.

I know, i know, old thread revival. But I'd like to install an aftermarket oil pressure sensor I have that is currently installed on my 4runner---I don't trust my Mercedes one at all since it is so jumpy.

Does anyone know what the thread pitch is?
