If you have a 1/4" drive 10mm universal socket and a 12mm deep socket it is not a difficult job.A pleasant surprise when doing it was to find that the nut that holds the wire connector on the glow plug is captive in the wire connector so you cant drop it.Be sure to start the glow plug in the head by turning with your fingers until you are sure they are started correctly in/on the threads and a bit of never seize on the threads is always a good idea. plugs replaced

Finally got to replace the glow plugs that I got (Bosch). Not an easy job. 3 of them are easy to replace but 2 of them are a PITA to reach with a wrench in there. A rubber hose is your best friend to get them back in. After I changed them (the old ones were really burned out) I still had problem starting in the morning. So I took a multimeter and I followed the troubleshooting steps from the diesel giant webpage and I measured the voltage from the glow plug relay to the plugs and I found out that I had 12 volts going only to 2 plugs and when the secondary circuit kicked in I had 9 volts to all 5 plugs. So I took the relay out and sadly I had to crack the cover open because it was not meant to be repaired and inside I found that the main circuit (12 volt stage ) had a cooper connection broken. I solder it back but sadly it did not hold so what I had to do is divide the 2 12 volt working ones to the other 3 and it fixed my problem until I can buy a new relay. The only downside is that it stays a little longer with the light on but it starts like a charm even an very low temperatures. So for now I am happy and I could start the car in the morning every day in the cold winter.
