I wanna remove the plastic over the instrument cluster so i can take out my ABS bulb...

How do i get the cluster off?

you don't remove the glass(plastic) off the front. You need to pull the whole cluster out and remove the bulb from behind. I don't know if your can push it out from behind on a W126 but you can on a W123. So, you need to get a wire coat hanger and form some kind of hook to put inbetween the dash and the cluster to pull it out.

Why do you need to remove the bulb, why don't you just fix the problem and it should go off.

don't have the money right now to replace the ABS sensor.... So i unplugged it to stop the pulsation under my foot on dry pavement and the light came on....

126 Dash and Cluster.
The bulb & socket pull out of the holes together, left side shows no bulbs, right side has bulbs in the photo.

Notice the serrated edges around the outside/ends? It is designed to use a special hook tool to hook both sides and pull out from the driver's seat. Easiest with the steering column extended first.

You can either take the knee bolster down and push out the cluster from behind or you can pull it out with a hooked tool. I find that a paint can opener (free from Homer D'Pot) works well. Just stick it in the space between the cluster and the dash on each side and give it a tug. The cluster will pop out.

You can also remove the headlight switch trim, reach up, and push it out.

Twist off the socket, remove the bulb, put back the socket. No need for tape.

Are you sure it's a bad sensor? Maybe the reluctor(?) wheel just needs to be cleaned.

My SDL probably needs sensors, but the last couple of times its acted up badly I cleaned the pick up wheel's and that seemed to do it. I suspect one or both of my sensors are flacky though.

On mine the computer is starting to go. The sensors are clean but the ABS will fire off sometimes, but not everytime. The ABS light is also stating to come on. I am going to live with it until I can hit the yard and pull a 'new' brain for the ABS. I just hope the one I get is not Abby Normal!

Did you try the Home Depot pain can opener trick? It works like a charm...
