How do you prime the IP on a 603? You crank it which would drain the battery.
You didn't fix anything, you'll get stuck again. The alternator might be weak, you need to put a meter on it and figure out whats going on.

I'll second that. Get a multimeter and check voltage to the battery. Money is on the voltage regulator...

Push down the stop lever on the IP, I thought that was how you primed it?
I charged the battery for about an hour and a half and now the engine can sit for an hour and still fire up without any problems.. if its weak later tonight the problem is still there...

Hmm... a stop lever does what? Cuts fuel when you have vac leaks. Only way I know to prime the 603 is put your foot to the floor while cranking. Check voltage drain, simple test. Also pull the volt regulator from the alt, could have small brushes. As pointed out, without testing anything you'll be back to where you started. STUCK.
