Yes I know it is old thread.
Anyway I opened it again and I could see timing chain right from the hole. So a sealant is probably needed. I torque to 70nm. FSM 100nm but if I do that the tensioner would not rotate at all. I decided to use med strength thread locker loctite 242. Hopefully it could be opened again with normal tools as advertised. |
Thread locker with steel bolts and aluminum threaded holes is not a good idea, as the aluminum threads can let go when you try to loosen the bolt again.
