1. To start off with the bolt I found, I will start looking at some of the parts that yall have mentioned and see if I find it. I know it is not a transmission pan bolt, because I have all of them, and they are silver color not the gold/bronze color of the bolt I found. I will check the oil pan, but I don't think it came from there because I found it much farther towards the front of the engine than the oil pan sump. The bolt head is a 5mm hex and the thread is 1.0. From the hex head it appears that the bolt has been removed with a wrench because it is slightly stripped. To my knowledge the oil pan on this engine has never been removed. However I will investigate this further. This car did have new glowplugs installed right before I bought it.
I was thinking the same thing deanot442 was, check all the bolt locations for your intake and crossover pipe.

How would a can of break cleaner confirm that it is a casting flaw?
Here, I was thinking the same thing as TheDon when I looked at the pic - casting flaw. Regarding the brake cleaner, TMAllision is suggesting that you clean off the area really well so you can get a good look these "cracks." Brake cleaner is ideal to spray up there and get the dirt off.

Sometimes, just cleaning the area of the pinion seal will cause it to stop weeping. That is a favorite catch spot for grit and any fluid at all attracts more.

However, I have the same feeling as several others have mentioned. Check that flex disc as it can cause a lot of damage if it lets go at highway speeds. (It's at the very top of your last pic.) Do a search of "flex disc" "damage" and you will likely see some scary photos. Personally, I would change both the front and rear at once.

As other have said if the leak on the seal in the Rear End is not bad leave it alone.

However, you should check the fluid level back there because you may not know how long it has been leaking and how much Oil is left in the Differential.

There should be a fill plug somewhere back there. I am not sure on your Vehicle but on most you remove the fill plug (with the Differential cold not hot) and stick your fingers in. The Oil level should be somewhere between the bottom to the top of the threads on the Differential Housing Plug hole.

Thank you to everyone. As far as my flex disc, I must have run over something going down a dirt road the other day. However I do not think its a problem. It was a little scuffed, but not gouged. The scuff mark rubbed right off with my finger.

that disk may just need replacement. Is it a simple R&R?

The bolt looks exactly like the 3 allen bolts that hold the fan onto the fan clutch. Make sure all three are on the fan. Possibly someone removed it and set the bolts up on the motor and one fell down?
