As someone else mentioned, get the fluids tested to see if there is oil in coolant/coolant in oil. Many cheapo oil tests will test for coolant. You can try putting some Bar's Leaks in, but I doubt it will help on a diesel with all that compression going on. Best be looking for another engine- or do you already have one out of a parts car you had?

The signs point to the headgasket failing between a coolant and oil passage.
Oil pressure is higher than the coolant so it will naturally flow into the cooling system when the engine is running.

Sounds like repair time.
BUT there is one caveat to that. IF you put in some coolant additive, especially if it is soap like or bubbly, it can look like a rainbow oil slick in the reservoir. On RARE occasion, you'll get lucky but if it's jet black...
