Right! I had to do mine at 135,000 miles because the 100 degree summers here rotted out my suspension rubber.

Microsoft live is doing an eBay promotion right now. Everything on eBay buy it now auctions is 30% off, so the cost of this kit would be considerably less if that matters. There can be some good deals on MB parts using this, for example 10 oil filters for $50 shipped, etc. Go to live.com and search something like "cheap wii" and in the sponsored links there will be one to eBay for 30% off buy it now items.

I'm gearing up for similar work and am just awaiting my parts to arrive. I've pulled the hubs and am looking at how to get the upper control arm and lower ball joint out. Do I need to compress or remove the coil spring to get the upper control arm off and free the lower ball joint to remove the whole spindle? I'm thinking I can just put a jack under the lower control arm to remove spring pressure.

oops, forgot to mention I'm talking about an '85 300D. Just added to my signature so I don't have to keep mentioning this.
